Top Film & TV Apps on Android in Central America, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several film and television applications stood out on the Android platform in Central America. According to Sensor Tower data, the performance of these apps varied significantly in terms of downloads and active users.

Cinépolis had a dynamic quarter, with downloads peaking at around 74K in the week of December 23. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users rising from 1.9M to over 2.2M by the end of December.

TodayTix – Theatre Tickets experienced a modest increase in downloads, reaching 563 in the week of December 23. However, its active users saw a slight decline throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 1.9K users.

The Europa Cinemas App, launched in late November, had minimal impact with only 20 downloads recorded in its initial week.

Cinépolis Cinemas Indonesia recorded very low engagement in Central America, with downloads and active users barely reaching double digits.

Lastly, Teatro Quirino also had limited activity, registering just 13 downloads in a single week.
